Wyoming DIY Antelope 10,000 acres Unit 38

This DIY hunt is for you if you know how to hunt antelope and you don’t need a guide, just 10,000 acres of private land in the state that has more antelope than all the other states combined. Wyoming hosting a herd near 60,000 has been said to have more antelope than people. Private land Buck Antelope $ 995 reduced to only $ 495 for the last four seats. The hunting is in  Antelope Hunt Unit 38 with 550 antelope buck tags going out to an area almost completely covered in private ranching, which provides a steady population.

You will be hunting on a private ranch just 20 minutes north west of Cheyenne Wyoming. There is plenty of lodging in Cheyenne, and plenty of antelope on the range. 

The bucks have a gene that lets them mass instead of length first and you will notice it in most of the antelope you harvest.

The application deadline for the antelope licenses is March 15 at 5 PM Mountain Time with the opening season date being October 5th 2012. The land has water provided by cattle watering tanks, along with live streams and lakes on the property.

The ground works up antelope traffic carrying draws to a wide expanse of table top that is the home of the wises bucks only providing long range shooting.

Meat processing is available right it Cheyenne. Motels chains like the Motel 6 and super 8 are all available in this capital city.

The hunt is for 1 buck antelope with a DIY hunt. The landowner will provide you with a map of the property with fence lines and water holes. It is your responsibility to stay within the fenced boundaries. He will give you and you his cell phone and his home phone numbers if you have any problem. If an antelope is wounded and crosses out of your property contact the rancher immediately to get his ok to cross over the fence.

It is extremely important that when you leave the paved road onto the gravel road you do not for any reason hunt or even park along the road until you have crossed over the railroad tracks. That piece is owned by the neighbor that will quickly press charges for trespassing if you give him a chance.

The hunt is only $ 495 per hunter per buck antelope. No does are to be shot on the ranch. You will pay   $ 300 down to book the hunt and the remaining $ 195 you will pay 30 days before the hunt. Does are     $ 495 also. License cost for Non-Resident are $ 272 for an adult and $ 110 for a youth, plus a 4 10 habitat stamp for both adults and Youth hunters from the Wyoming Game and Fish With a deadline on the draw being March 15th at 5PM. It is best to make this draw deadline but at times there are left over licenses for this area after the draw is over.

After your deposit is received you will be put in touch with the landowner to be able to scout the property to know where you want to be the opening morning.

Travel, you can fly into Denver, Loveland, Colorado and easily drive to Cheyenne.
