Stay in our cabins in GMU421 and pay less than many cold tent drop camps. We call them Drop cabins!  It cost no more to shoot an elk, a deer and a bear then it does to just shoot an elk. What you hunt is your choice. It is DIY hunting at its finest. Semi Guiding per day is $ 150 for 1 to 4 hunters

Come and enjoy a Colorado elk hunt with us we have been a family run outfitting business for over 32 years. During this time we have seen a great increase in the elk herds. This was due in part to the point restriction for a number of years. It is still in effect in our area. It is common to see 5 and 6 point bulls (western count). Colorado is fortunate to be home to the world’s largest elk herd and each year Colorado hunters harvest more elk than any other state.

The Plateau Creek area where you will hunt is high game country; the area is easy to hunt with good cover with numerous groves of Aspen and Spruce as well as high mountain meadows and streams. The elevation runs from 8,000 to 10,000 feet. We have a resident elk herd, numerous mule deer and ever increasing numbers of black bear. This is a true Colorado hunting experience in excellent big game country.

You can find us on the Western Slope of Colorado. Fifty miles from Grand Junction, Colorado and 14 miles from Collburn, Colorado, the nearest town. Our private land is 2 miles east of Vega Reservoir, the last private land next to the Grand Mesa National Forest where our outfitters permit includes Plateau Creek, Two Creeks and Harrison.

We are now offering a quality black bear hunt. We are pleased at the ever increasing black bear numbers in our area. The bear population is growing, so you might consider a black bear hunt also.

With over 30 years as a professional Colorado outfitter, we can offer you a great Colorado elk or deer hunt and memorable vacation. We hunt GMU421 on private land and the adjacent Grand Mesa National Forest. Our permit area is at the East end of Grand Mesa on Plateau Creek and Harrison.

Expect the hunt of a lifetime. We can't control the weather or Lady Luck but we look forward to helping you see your dreams come true.

You will be assisted by a professional guide who will check your camp each day.

For archery and black powder seasons, game will be packed out for hunters to base camp. All rifle hunts include the packing of game.

Lodging includes 2 – 6 man cabins on 240 acres of private land, hunt the private land or access the deer and elk rich North East end of the Grand Mesa, Grand Mesa National Forrest. With local herds and migrating herds of deer and elk always in the area. Cabins are 2 wheel drive vehicle accessible when the ground is dry. Enjoy the six man cabin, four man cabin and the two man middle cabin or the base lodge depending on the size of your group.

You can expect a top quality hunt. You will have a comfortable hunting cabin in the heart of big game country and memories to last a lifetime.
