Diamond D Bar Ranch and Outfitters has been in the outfitting business for a very long time, we'll just let our registration number be a testament to that fact! If you're curious just ask, we might let the year slip. We hunt many areas but our specialty is unit #76. We have been hunting this area for years. Unit 76 was one of the first quality units that Colorado implemented to make hunting better. That was 20+ years ago and the elk have only gotten bigger and better since then. Because of the quality of this unit it is hard to draw a tag and it takes years to get one. We won't tell you a lie, it takes most people that hunt this area with us 6 or more years to get a license. If that is too long of a wait for you, we do offer hunts in other areas. These include Units 68, 80, and 681. We also offer drop camps in Unit 79. Unit 79 went into a state wide draw in 2002. There has been an increase in the elk numbers in this area already and a noticeable decline in hunters. This area is proving to be a great asset for the future! With all of these options we can get you into the right hunt at the right time. If you are interested in a cattle drive, fishing trip, or pack trip we also offer a few of the above in the summer months.
