PRICE ROLL-BACK OF THE SEASON FOR THE FIRST 4 HUNTERS THAT BOOK IN EACH TYPE OF HUNT.

All private land COW elk hunts are reduces down to only $ 995!

All “Pack In” Archery, muzzleloader and rifle hunts are reduced down to only $ 2995!

See the details on the hunts below.

WILDERNESS GUIDED ARCHERY OR MUZZLELOADER ELK HUNTS: $3495 per person

We will have four separate guided archery hunts for elk and deer and offer a guided muzzleloader hunt. These hunts will be conducted from our high country pack-in tent camps. Camps are limited to four hunters maximum with a 2X1 hunter to guide ratio. All hunts will be a seven day trip with five full days of hunting. These are wonderful pack-in horse hunts in a high mountain basin. Hunting the mid to late part of the elk season will give us the best opportunity to work bulls as they should be in the rut and moving with groups of cows. We will hunt spot and stalk, as well as setting up early and late in the day on wallows. We will use bugles and cow calls to try to bring the elk in close. Archery bull elk licenses are available over the counter and deer licenses are by draw only. All muzzleloader licenses are by draw.

Meals are prepared in camp, all food is provided. There is a $ 250 meal per diem unless you want to bring your own meals.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PRIVATE LAND VALLEY GUIDED ELK HUNTS: $1495 to $5495 per person, fully guided

We operate all our hunts from our base location in north end of the San Luis Valley. Each year we work with local ranches and landowners to secure a variety of elk license vouchers. We even have some elk hunts that allow the harvesting of bull elk in the summer months when the animals will still be in velvet. We have very high kill success on these hunts approaching 90%. These are fair chase hunts (no high fences) on large private acreages.

Hunt dates are July 15 to December 31.

Cow elk: $1495

Bull elk velvet hunt July 15 to July 31: $2995 any bull

Bull elk: $3995 Scheduled September 1 to December 31

Lodging can be in town or if space is available lodging at the ranch is only $ 195 for the total hunt. Extra days can be added to a hunt for only $ 250 per day.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WILDERNESS GUIDED RIFLE ELK/DEER HUNTS: $3495 per person, fully guided

We operate two fully guided camps on the National Forest in Unit 681 for rifle hunts and you can hunt mule deer at no additional charge. Camp size is small with 2-4 hunters maximum and we have a 2X1 guide to hunter ratio. All trips are seven days in length and include five full days of hunting with pack days on either end. Our pack trip takes 3-4 hours so if we pack in during the season we will usually be in camp by noon giving you an additional 1/2 day of hunting, and of course we just might spot some animals on the ride up the hill. Generally for 4th rifle season we expect snow, so we hunt from the ranch so a pack trip is often not necessary.

Meals are prepared in camp, all food is provided. There is a $ 250 meal per diem unless you want to bring your own meals.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LATE SEASON (DECEMBER) UNIT 681 COW ELK HUNTS: $1995 per person, fully guided

In past years these hunts have been very successful. Depending on weather conditions we can spot elk then stalk close enough for a clean shot, or we may ride horses up into the mountains. Licenses are by draw only. Please plan on arriving here on Sunday afternoon the day before your hunt begins. Lodging can be in town or if space is available lodging at the ranch is only $ 195 for the total hunt. Extra days can be added to a hunt for only $ 250 per day.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SELF GUIDED ELK HUNTS/Per Person: Archery $1495 per person, Rifle $1795 (Cabin or 4WD Camp)

Self-guided hunts are $1295 per person for archery season and $1800 for rifle. We host up to four hunters in a drop camp. If you are a single hunter or smaller group we will attempt to match you with other hunters to help fill the camp. You need only bring your personal gear and food. Please see the "Self-Guided Hunts" page for complete information.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ANTELOPE HUNTS: $1495 per person, fully guided, (5 days of hunting(Voucher extra if required.)

Archery antelope hunts take place during late August and September while the rifle season begins in early October. For archery hunts we will primarily hunt from blinds which we set along fence lines where the antelope naturally cross during the day as they move between the alfalfa fields. Rifle hunts involve more spot and stalk tactics. Preference points are necessary to draw licenses, but if you contact us early in the year we may be able to secure a guaranteed land owner sponsored license for you. All hunts are fully guided and include five days of hunting. After you secure your license we will set dates for your hunt.

Lodging can be in town or if space is available lodging at the ranch is only $ 195 for the total hunt. Extra days can be added to a hunt for only $ 250 per day.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For a limited time I have 4 hunts for Velvet Bulls, Bulls with antlers still in Velvet which makes a great mount. I only have 4 vouchers left. DISCOUNTED HUNT, TAKE A BULL, A BULL AND A COW, OR TWO COWS ON 100,000 ACRES OF PRIVATE LAND. JUNE, JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER WEATHER SHOOTING FROM TOP OF THE BALES OF HAY AT ELK ENTERING THE HAY FIELD. GREAT LOW COST FATHER SON HUNT GET HIM STARTED WITH A NON-PHYSICIAL ENDURANCE HUNT TO START ON A GOOD NOTE.  NOTE OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER ARE BULLS AND COWS, DECEMBER IS COWS ONLY.

In 2009, 2010, 2011 this outfitter ran an unbelievable hunter success rate for the harvest of bulls and cows together 97%. He and his guides put their hunter on elk and they took over 114 elk. That is a lot of ivory!

Keep in mind buck or bull fever hits everyone and the easy shot at an elk is missed. In most cases they put their hunters on a second or 3rd elk to get the job done. In 15 years I have never see such a success rate that is why this hunt books up so quickly.  Early booking is the only way to assure that you have a spot for this fall; spaces are quickly filling up at this time many from hunters that left a deposit for the next year when they went home with their elk last year. Others told their friend about the hunt and they quickly booked 2011 together so they could hunt together on the once in a life time hunt. Come here and when you fill with an elk 4 other hunters else ware in the state will go home empty handed. This is the hunt that if you look back in years to come and say, “I should have gone with this hunt while I could have” Don’t miss out, the hunt is a low impact hunt so it is a good time to bring that youth or the elderly father that you hunted will all your life and would like to do one more successful hunt with for memories.

These hunts are 5 days with lodging and meals in town about 15 miles away. This will be "low impact hunting with 97% success at this time for this year and last from hay stacks or spot and stalk. The outfitter leases around 100,000 acres and is near one of the large elk preserves.

Price roll back! This hunt was $1400 and is rolled back to $995 for this year only. License Vouchers are available after the left over cow licenses are gone for $ 50-$100.

This is a new opportunity for a very unique type of elk hunt. Right now, in the fields and alfalfa, are herds of bulls and cows, placidly munching a fortune in hay and crops, while providing the chance of a lifetime to fill elk tags that has never been seen in the past. This outfitter will take you onto these private ranches. You can reasonably expect 100% shooting opportunity on cows and opportunity was 100% last year and so far this year.

Also the cow tags do not count toward your two elk per year in Colorado maximum.

This will be a physically easy hunt, suitable for anyone, of any age, and in almost any physical condition from great to poor. From kids to seniors, come shoot your elk!  You will see a lot of game and it will be largely undisturbed. Outfitter will guide you and retrieve your game.

This is a chance of a lifetime to hunt EASY TO FIND alfalfa fed elk! Most of the elk will be highly visible and you will stalk them for your shots. We suspect shots will have a chance of being fairly long, so bring a bipod or shooting sticks, and be prepared to shoot to 300 yards or a bit more accurately!

You will be hunting approximately 100,000 acres of farm valley- and boy these hay fed elk should sure taste good! This 100,000 acres is at about 8,000 feet in elevation and consists of plains, small rolling hills, alfalfa, hay fields, willow trees, tall swale grass, and Chico brush that provides shelter. The landowner voucher is included in the hunt price, along with lodging on the bull hunts but not the 5 day cow hunts.

==================================================================================

You will just need to purchase a Colorado bull elk license @ $554 for a non-resident (Only $49 for a resident) and a $10 habitat stamp.
