This Ranch is very proud to offer trophy white-tailed deer, management buck, and also axis buck hunting centrally located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

We offer guided hunting and also allow harvesting of one does with a hunt to help control the doe herd.

THE RANCH

Though we have only been hunting since 2003 when we completed an 8-foot 2-inch tall game fence area and the property, we have been working hard to manage and control our deer herd.

Located in Kerr County, TX, just 40 miles west of Fredericksburg, TX, 16 miles west of Harper, TX, and 21 miles north of Kerrville, TX.  Two miles off interstate 10. 

The Ranch is mostly easy-going flat country with some easy to navigate hills. The ranch vegetation consists of plentiful shin oak, live oak, post oak, briars, and cedar with a few cactus and AN ABUNDANCE OF WILDLIFE. We have white-tailed deer, Rio Grande turkey, native birds, small mammals, and axis deer that freely roam the ranch.

FAMILY FUN

Bring the family with you on your hunt. Let them go on a photograph hunt and take outdoor photographs of the white-tailed deer, squirrels, armadillos, birds, and numerous species of other native wildlife.

We offer a good old fashion family hunting opportunity and can accommodate up to six persons for an evening stay. All the conveniences of home plus, when permissible, a good old camp fire.

We offer affordable hunts of 3 days and 2 nights as well as accommodations at $100 per night (Food not included).

SUPPLEMENTAL FEEDING

We have an intense supplemental feeding program going to enhance the quality of mature bucks on the ranch. The deer are fed protein with mineral supplements to enhance antler growth, general health and fawn production. We also conduct doe harvests to control herd population and management buck hunts to control genetics of the herd. We generally harvest management bucks each season as part of our game management program.

HUNTING GUIDELINES

Requirements

    A valid Texas hunting license

    You will be required to sign the necessary release form before being allowed to hunt 

Hunting Rules

    No alcohol will be consumed during hunting hours

    No loaded weapons in the camp or the lodge

    No shots at running game

    No shots at deer unless your guide approves. The deer guide’s decision in the field is final

    A wounded animal counts as your kill. If you draw blood it’s your animal 

All hunts are guided and the guide will determine if the buck is to be harvested.

If you do not harvest a buck there will be a hunting fee charged of $125.00 per day.

Our rate on doe harvest is $125 for a doe and a hunt charge of $50 per day. We harvest white-tailed does and axis does.

Axis does are at the rate of $275.00 and a hunt charge of $50.

Bucks will be scored for class of hunt.  All big bucks will be priced according to gross score.

1. Measurement of length of main beam

2. Measurement of inside spread

    If hunter chooses to take a buck with broke tines, g-1, g-2,  g-3 or any tine, the tine measurement for opposite side of rack will be used as total length for broken tine.

    Buck deer taken for doe, accidentally or on purpose, will result in a cost of $1000.  A point is considered 3/4" in length.

    If a deer is wounded or blood is drawn, the deer is the hunters and all fees will be charged.

    If you choose to not shoot a buck there will be a guide fee accessed of $ 125.00 per day.

    Some of the bucks on the ranch will be off-limits due to age, and are our breed bucks.

    Depends on yearly hunts to see about shooting extra does.

    Lodging $90.00 per night

    We will be conducting some hunts on other ranches, but there will be a different cost for these hunts.
