Vicki Chritton-Myers has been an artist her entire life, specializing in
animals. She discovered the art of taxidermy in 1994. She entered
her first taxidermy competition, the 1995 Missouri Taxidermists'
Association State Competition, the following Spring. Her efforts
won her a Second Place for a squirrel mount, a Third Place for a
crow mount and an Honorable Mention for a coyote mount. In the
Fall of 1995, Myers' Ark Taxidermy opened for business.
She continued to attend and win awards at taxidermy competitions
at the State, National and World levels. At the 1999 World
Taxidermy Championships, held in Springfield, IL, she won a
Second Place in the Professional Division for a whitetail deer
pedestal mount...and was only 7 points away from the top-placing
deer in that division. She also won a Third Place for a skunk mount.
