Pete is an amazing guide that works extremely hard to give hunters the best chance possible, through use of game cameras and keeping the bait full. I had a 250+ pound bear come in the first night but wasn't able to connect for a kill. The rest of the week a major storm rolled in so the bears were not as active. We saw moose on the drives into the stand. The property is very large and perfect habitat. Pete will place you in the best spot for your weapon. The lodge is amazing and felt more like a vacation than hunting camp. The food was unbelievably good and every night after the hunt there was a hot meal waiting. You couldn't ask for a better hunt. I plan on going back and hunting with Pleasant River Guide Service every bear season and I am going for whitetail as well. I have hunted many states and many outfitters and Pete's place is my favorite.
