We give you hunting and fishing experiences you will never forget. We have been guiding hunts for over 20 years and is considered one of the most prestigious outfitting companies in the U.S. Come visit terrain unlike you have ever seen and amazing game and have the time of your life. When you visit New Mexico, "The Land of Enchantment" is prepared to have a unique thrilling experience and hunt in a primitive, natural environment from mountains, lava fields, easy and rough terrain. We offer the following game hunts with various lodging and unforgettable experiences.

Low Cost High Racked Whitetail and Mule Deer out of eastern New Mexico canyon Lands will greet you on this 5 day hunt. These bucks are known for their beautiful width. You all know a high rack will score better than a wide rack but what a good looking wall master piece when you see a wide racked buck! There are two ranches one 40,000 acres. This large ranch is traversed by the Canadian River providing a year round water supply along with a travel corridor. The second ranch is in the same area and is over 60,000. This ranch is much more rugged with deep draws and canyons. This area is dotted with cattle ground tanks reassuring that there will always be water available to these deer. Both ranches have good supplies of mesquite beans and acorns most years along with the brows that deer rely on for protein and digestion.

This area is known for its 160-200 Mule deer but also contains 150-170 point whitetails. All of you hunting will be on private land using landowner vouchers for this property. Anyone else on the property besides the 8 total landowner tags will have trespassing charges files on them. There will only be a total of 8 hunters allowed to hunt the combined 100,000 acres of the ranches. Previously it had only been hunted by a few friends and relatives. Never have they had the quality of guiding that you will have in a 2-1 guide to hunter ratio.

The 5 day hunt is $5595   reduced down $1000 to only $ 4595.00 this year because of the short notice. As I write this one of the hunts is quickly booked up so there now are only 7 spaces. If you do want a 1 on 1 guided hunt please let us know in advance and it will be available for an additional $ 1,500.

Note: since this area has not been hunted professionally in the recent past 10 years, we don’t have any actual pictures of bucks taken off this ranch. What we do have is this experiences outfitter scouting the area in November last year and what the saw while scouting gave us the dimensions and the pictures fall into those dimensions. This outfitter has a number of other ranches in the area so he knows the ropes and has a good hunting reputation as long as your arm. Currently he holds over an 80% return client history so it is very seldom that he has any openings to offer.

Hunting is done by 4 wheel drive and spot and stalk from the tops of bluffs and ridges. Usually in the morning you will spot a good buck you will spot a buck and put him to bed in late morning. At that point a stock will be done taking advantage of the buck’s low posture and inability to see or be seen from a distance. The stock will then set you up at a safe distance to wait for the buck to stand up again in an hour or two. This provides a shot at about 200 yards with the buck standing unaware of your presents, and you steady and ready for the shot.

The guided will handle all skinning and will cape to the nose. Please bring a cooler or something to haul the head, cape and any meat that you would like to take home with you.

Your meals will be prime rib as such for dinner and 3 meals per day. The lodging will be in a quant farm house in the middle of one of the ranches that could have deer out your front door.

Your arrival will be at Logan New Mexico which is about 1 ½ hours from Amarillo Texas, which has an airport for those flying in for the October hunt. Driving west from Amarillo into New Mexico the guide will meet you at Logan New Mexico at the sports store to buy your license.

The landowner $ 500 voucher is already included in your hunt price, but you will need to purchase a New Mexico any Deer license for $ 290.00 At that point you can follow the guide back to the ranch to relax or check the zero on your rifle.

During the evening the guide will take those that want to go varmint calling at night for coyote, bobcat and gray fox. If you are interested bring a 22-250, or 223 for the hunt. In addition there are times that a mountain lion will come to the call so you will have an option of that. Mountain Lion and bear if contacted on the ranch can be shot for the price of a non-resident lion or bear license which is about $200. Advise ahead of time so that you can obtain a license when purchasing your deer license in Logan.

Our Lodging is very comfortable lodging from tent camps to local motels. The tent camps have hot showers, toilets and tent heaters. Some private land hunts will vary from motel to bunkhouses on the ranch. We will strive to make the hunter as comfortable as possible. Tent camps and ranch housing have a camp cook who specializes in campsite cooking such as Dutch oven cobbler, steaks and biscuits. No hunter will leave camp hungry. We want you to enjoy your time in camp as much as you enjoy the hunt.

The dates are scheduled as follows:

Your hunt is for 4 days with arrival the day before any time after Noon in Logan, New Mexico. That evening the outfitter will brief you on the hunt, get releases signed and pair up the guides with the hunters. You hunt begins on the morning of October 22nd, and goes until sundown on October 26th.

If you fill you tag prior to the 26th you are free to go home early.

Hunters may leave or stay after they kill and hunt varmints, all food is figured on every hunter staying the entire time, so it is your option. Feel free to stay the full 5 days even if you tag out on the first day.  Guides will not leave until every hunter is tagged out or the hunt is over. This way it will turn into a one on one deal or the guide will do some varmint calling for hunters during daytime. I know people like to shoot and they will have fun, the guides are good at what they do and they know the country.

We pride ourselves in our knowledge and skills and the type of ranches I lease as said quality not quantity with only 8 hunters per year on 100,000 acres of private property. This hunt will increase $ 500 for 2012 hunts.
