Nevada High Ridge Outfitters

Our goal is to take our outfitting business to the next level. With our knowledge on how to run and operate a business and our field experience we can provide a first class hunt. We have some of the best sub-guides in the state who share the same hard work ethics and knowledge of all big game animals that we do. We will not put a sub-guide in the field that we are not willing to hunt with ourselves. As a group we have been on over 100 successful sheep hunts alone. Our experience is not limited, but proven.

We have taken suggestions from clients that we have guided, studied and learned the business. We feel that being honest and having realistic expectations for our clients will be our key to success. We will work with all of our clients to insure their needs are being met. Client satisfaction will be our goal. Not every hunt ends in the successful harvest of a record book animal; However, the experience of the hunt will last forever. We will strive to make every hunt the experience of a lifetime and with hard work success will be achieved.

Gary Coleman

I have been a full time sub-guide for the last 12 years and have hunted all over in the state of Nevada. I have also hunted Rams in Arizona, California and Mule deer in most of the Western states. I have guided clients, family and friends to Nevada record book animals for California sheep, Desert sheep, Mule deer, Antelope, Mountain lion and Elk. With the amount of time I have spent with clients, I have learned what they expect and what it takes to make a successful hunt. I believe that along with hunting hard, having a good time is just as important.

As an avid bow hunter I have harvested many big game animals with a bow. I know and understand what it takes to archery hunt and I also have experience with a muzzleloader. I have hunted with 6 bid tag holders for the State of Nevada for both California and Desert sheep. This has given me the opportunity to hunt in most of the sheep units in the state. I have successfully guided 2 hunters to 2 of the oldest rams to ever be harvested in the state of Nevada.

I love to lion hunt and I have caught well over a 130 cats with my dogs. I have averaged 10 to 12 cats per year for my clients in the last 7 years. For the 2005 season, I was successful in guiding all of my clients to cats. Hunting has and will always be a huge part of my life and feel the time is right for me to start my own first class outfitting business and complete a lifelong dream.

Keith Montes

I worked in an industrial plant for 23 years, before becoming a full time sub-guide. For the last 5 years of employment with this company I was the Plant Superintendent. The responsibilities with this position included managing the Production, Lab, Shipping and Labor departments. The experience of running these departments has taught me how to effectively manage, operate and maintain a business. Organization of work, quality people, communication, customer satisfaction, budgeting and planning are key components to running an effective business. 

Having been born and raised in Nevada, hunting has always been a big part of my life. I have hunted all over the state of Nevada since I was a child. I have guided clients, family and friends to Nevada record book animals for California sheep, Desert sheep, Mule deer, Antelope, Mountain lion and Elk. I have hunted and successfully harvested animals with a bow, muzzleloader and rifle. Knowing and understanding how to hunt with these weapons, gives us the advantage of guiding any hunter. I started sub guiding 5 years ago and have been doing it full time for the last 2 years. I have hunted with 5 bid tag holders for the State of Nevada for both California and Desert sheep. This has given me the opportunity to hunt in most of the sheep units in the state. The opportunity to work with Gary and start this business is what I consider the opportunity of a lifetime.
