Four day (DIY)”Do It Yourself” Deer or Antelope hunt with lodging on 3,500 acres of private land surrounded by almost 100,000 acres of public land as low as only $1195 if booked in parties of 2 or more. At prices to kill for!

Nestled deep into the Pine Ridge Nebraska Game unit, outside of Crawford is this DIY Hunt with Lodging that this outfitter has to offer. On the border of Sioux and Dawes County in the Northwest Panhandle of Nebraska lies this 3,500 acre ranch is surrounded by the Ogallala National forest, which is just short of 100,000 acres, making this one of the refuge for the runaway public mule and whitetails deer. This area is highly regarded by deer hunters because of the quality whitetail and mule deer that come out of it.

The land is at the edge of the foot hills in that the ranch and cabins are located on the plains, flatland that is great for antelope,(In Nebraska non-residents can only shoot does with a rifle, but can shoot nice buck during the long archery season, and the licenses is lower than most states for antelope.) Part of the ranch starts as canyons then turns into The Area known as the Badlands preserved in the ash of ancient volcanoes are the fossil remains of brontotheres, rhinoceroses, horses, oreodonts, camels entelodont (pigs) rabbits, rodents and carnivores such as saber-tooth cats and hyaenodon. Non-mammal species include turtles, and snails. This area gets rugged and the deer love it. Our larger deer are taken here because they have seclusion where they can live for years and years with very little worry about being approached by hunters.

The best hunting technique is to sit at a good scouting point at the head of the many canyons where deer travel and bed during the daytime hours. Since this ranch does farming the crops are a solid food source to local and incoming deer. Hunting the draws can require good physical conditioning.

Horses and 4 wheelers are allowed, bring your own. There is even fishing available if your deer tag fills too soon. The Ranch is one of the National Natural Landmarks in the United States. It is very scenic with its unusual landscape.

Antelope hunters note: In Nebraska non-residents must shoot Doe antelope not buck antelope except for archers which can shoot either sex antelope. The license is approximately $ 150. Hunting is as simple as placing a ground blind on an active water source.
