Welcome to the World of Sanctuary! Had I been born in Kentucky, perhaps those lovely thoroughbreds would have been my fascination. But as a boy growing up in rural Northern Michigan, one supreme animal existed - the Whitetail. Whitetails represented majesty and myth, exhilaration and suspense, with an ample portion of frustration and exercise thrown in as well. The folklore and fraternity that surrounded the annual season amplified our family's entire year with opening day a sacred event. The seed that grew to become Sanctuary is rooted in that beloved family tradition. Unfortunately, the great bucks of the north, like those that graced my grandfather's walls had become rare indeed. The vision that we sought was a fantasy. To hunt those giant bucks once again in a trophy environment without equal, that is the dream we created.
