If flying, (Glacier International Airport, Kalispell, Montana is your destination, be there early afternoon) we will meet you at the airport and take you to The Lodge where you will stay the first night.

We will pick up your duffel and gear the day you arrive.

Keep out just what you will need for that evening and the ride in the next day. (Hunter orange, warm coat, Gloves, Rain gear, Rifle, Comfortable shoes to walk in, Water Bottle) It is a good idea to pack these things on the top of your duffel so you will have easy access to them.

Have a small handbag to leave at motel or trail head with a change of clothes for the trip home.

For The Ride In

Saddles have “horn bags” will hold lunch, small water bottle (12 to 16 oz) pop bottle works fine, small camera. Wear loose fitting pants, hunter orange, warm coat, (can be tied behind saddle as day warms up). Comfortable boots to walk in, rain gear, wide brim hat is nice if it rains. Gloves. We have scabbards for rifle. On the ride in, do not intend on caring a small backpack on your back, it is just too uncomfortable.

Suggestions For Gear

Duffel Bags: There are so many out there! A 34 to 36 inch size works well for us. Just bring what you have. Put in a small water bottle (12 to 16 oz), Bic lighter, small flashlight, Fishing rod in hard tube case. Also bring some kind of a small pack for carrying your goodies in when you are out hunting.

Remember a warm sleeping bag, small pillow if needed, we furnish foam pads.

Comfortable shoes for around camp, good well broke in waterproof hunting boots.

Don’t forget a warm jacket, rain gear, two pairs gloves, lots socks, approx 3 changes of clothes, Gaiters (fleece Type) Roll of orange survey tape for marking trails. Florescent orange vest, Montana requires 400 sq. inches. Compass

Camo hunting clothes are fine, I wear real tree early in season and change to wool later. Some of the new synthetic wool is great.

You want to be able to dress in layers, so you can take some things off as day warms up. Polypropylene underwear is great or Cabalas has Silk blend underwear that is great.

Have your rifle sighted in for 150 yards. Bring One box of ammunition that is the same as what your rifle is sighted in with.

Frys meats will do a excellent job of cutting and freezing your meat, cost is about $.65lb
