With Hunts ranging from $1295 to $6,095
with guided hunts as low as only $2495
We operate our Archery, Muzzle Loading and Rifle elk hunts under special use permits issued to us by the USDA Forest Service in the White River National Forest and the Flat Tops Wilderness Area in game management unit 24.
We are the home of the world's largest herd of migratory elk. This beautiful country contains all of the geographic features associated with prime Colorado elk hunting country. Elevations range from 8,000' to 11,400' across this terrain, covering the movement of the elk from their summer habitat to their winter ranges across the hunting seasons. Our hunts are conducted on the Big Ridge, East Marvine, and Main Marvine trails.
Drop Camps: Our wilderness drop camps are situated in a beautiful pine and aspen tree rimmed areas and are accessed only by horseback. All drop camps are fully furnished with everything you'll need and will also include your pack in and out on horseback, camp checks and game packing. You provide only food and beverage for your stay, a warm sleeping bag, your personal gear and your hunting equipment.

Guided Hunting: Our mountain guides are knowledgeable hunters and are very committed to providing you a successful hunt. You will be provided with a horse, game packing and guide service for a five day hunt. Guided hunts are conducted with 1 guide to every 2 hunters. All hunting is done on horseback. We offer the following two options for our guided hunters:
Guided Camp: Our great guided hunt which also includes lodging in our wilderness base camp accessed only by horseback and hearty meals prepared by our camp cook. All you need to bring is your warm sleeping bag, personal gear and hunting equipment.

$3,245 per person (2nd & 3rd Rifle Seasons)
Guided Hunt: We provide the same great guided hunt on horseback, but you provide your own lodging and meals. We can make some recommendations for places to stay and eat.

Premier Wilderness Elk Hunt & Fishing:
This premier 7-day trip includes full service 1-on-1 Guided Elk Hunting and Fishing in the Flat Top Wilderness, traveling on horseback with hard-working, experienced guides to 3-4 different camp sites with excellent elk hunting in their natural habitat and numerous streams, ponds and lakes to fish along the way.
This is an adventure of a lifetime and is only available to 3 fun-loving, energetic Archery or Muzzle Hunters per year! Call or email for details.

Game Packing: Experienced packers are available with our pack string to bring out your game from within the local area. You will need to field dress and quarter the animal. We charge extra for animals outside the local area or if we need to field dress, quarter or skin your animal. $250
Terms of Services
Signed contracts and a 50% deposit are required to reserve a hunt. For Archery, Muzzle Loading and 1st and 4th Rifle seasons, which are contingent on a license draw, 25% of the hunt fee is due at the time of booking to reserve your hunt. Once you draw your license, the remaining 25% of the deposit will be due June 15th. If you do not draw, the 25% will be refunded to you or held to book your hunt the following year.
Balances are due 30 days prior to arrival to hunt via cashier's check, money order or cash. Deposits are nonrefundable and no refunds or credits shall be given for late arrivals or early departures. The cost of hunting licenses and application processing fees are not included in prices.
Hunting Season Dates
Archery*: August 27th - September 25th
Muzzle Loading*: September 10th - September 18th
1st Rifle Limited Elk*: October 15th - October 19th
2nd Rifle Combined (Deer and Elk): October 22nd - October 30th
3rd Rifle Combined: November 5th - November 13th
4th Rifle Combined*: November 16th - November 20th
*Licenses for Archery, Muzzle Loading and 1st and 4th Rifle Limited Elk seasons are issued by drawing only. Applications are available from the Colorado Division of Wildlife. http://wildlife.state.co.us/Hunting/BigGame/ This year's limited license application deadline is the first week of April.

Although the deadline is over, there is still a chance to obtain licenses. There are deer and elk licenses left over. See the Leftover List. You may also buy over the counter licenses.

Nonresidents apply at the same time and on the same application forms as resident hunters. They may purchase an over-the-counter license just the same as resident hunters.

Hunter Safety Card required for hunters born after 1949. It is not required to be a Colorado Hunter Safety Card it can be from another state. There is also an on-line hunter Safety Class available.
