Big Game
I have been outfitting trophy deer and elk hunts in Idaho's Unit 11 for 30 years. During this time we have maintained a 99% hunter success rate. We have been able to maintain results like this due to our knowledge of the terrain and our experience in this area. We spend summers running our rafting company on the Salmon and Snake rivers, which border Unit 11, and we guide hunters in the fall. Unit 11 is the best Mule deer, Rocky Mtn. elk, and Bighorn sheep trophy hunt in Idaho. Unit 11 has been a draw system hunt for the last 30 years, and has seen excellent management by Idaho Fish and Game. Due to this management the unit consistently turns out top quality bulls, bucks, and rams. We provide top quality guided hunts, and we only take a few hunters each year. This allows us to give our utmost attention to every custom hunt. We have a guide for each hunter and at most times provide two guides per hunter! We provide a camp cook who prepares meals such as steak dinners complete with seafood salads, cakes, and pies. We have a full breakfast, and the cook packs our lunch before we leave each morning. Our base camp will be beside a road on the Snake-Salmon divide. This camp gives us over 20 miles of ridge line access with 4,000 vertical feet of hunting on either side. This allows us to change to a new creek or drainage at any time. We also have horse camps and remote cabins if we want to concentrate in an area for two or three days. Before your hunt starts I will have spent a minimum of 10 days scouting in the unit and I will know several precise areas in which we are going to hunt and often even which rams, bulls, or bucks we are going to go after. Because of this legwork and commitment to pre scouting we often fill some tags opening morning. We hunt on both private and public land, primarily on the fabulous breaks of the Salmon and Snake Rivers.
