Backcountry Montana Adventures offers fair chase archery and rifle hunts for all big game species as well as mountain lion hunts and photo safaris. We outfit in the same area our family has hunted for over 40 years. Southwest Montana is known for its large elk numbers as well as a great bull to cow ratio. This area of Montana has always provided a very high success rate for hunters. Our capable hunting guides bring into camp more than 140 years of combined hunting experience. Their experience and knowledge will assist you in having the hunt of your dreams. All our guides are native Montanans who share a love for the land and the creatures that inhabit it. Archery season opens the beginning of September and lasts through much of October. Rifle season begins the last of October and runs for five consecutive weeks ending the Sunday after Thanksgiving. With elk and deer combination hunts being our specialty, we also offer antelope, moose and mountain lion hunts.
