Hunt Info
All Ohio hunting laws must be obeyed. Ohio residents must have a valid hunting license, non-residents are exempt. Hunter orange must be worn at all times. No alcoholic beverages are permitted before or during hunts or field dog training.
We also welcome out of state and international hunters to our place.
We pride ourselves in making your hunting experience one you not forget. Once you are in our fields you will quickly forget you are on a hunting preserve. We believe that the terrain and cover are as important as the birds we put out.
Our Quail hunts are like the hunts that used to be years ago with very explosive coveys that fly fast and far.
Our pheasants look and act like the wild ones and are a challenge to shoot.
Hunters may wish to try our Combo Hunt, with the Combo Hunt six or more birds per hunter are released from the tower cliff. Hunters have the option of taking the birds as they fly down or waiting until they land for the traditional upland hunt. This is an outstanding hunting method for the youth hunter or the senior hunter wishing to avoid extended walks in the field.
While you wait for the birds to be released you can relax in our rustic cedar cabin clubhouse nestled in a beautiful, mature woodlot. A perfect setting for your spouse or family to relax while hunters are in the field or tower shooting birds, or to rest and prepare a lunch under the trees with the provided grill and picnic table.
The cabin will soon be available for a primitive camping experience. Cots, food prep area and heater will be in the cabin. A fire pit, picnic area and horseshoe pit are also provided. NO electricity, radio or televisions are in the cabin, the beauty and music of nature are provided for your absolute enjoyment.
Campers will have approximately 80 acres of pristine wilderness for hiking and nature walks. Walk quietly along the creek to the historic covered bridge, examining the flora and fauna of the woodlots and prairie.
Native animals campers might see at any time are white-tailed deer, wild turkey, coyote, rabbit, squirrel, possum, skunk and a myriad of native bird species. A leisurely stroll also allows campers to view the bird pens.

Pheasant - Rooster or Hen - $18.00 each
Pheasant hunting in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky used to be a long standing tradition back in the 1960's and 70's. These birds will prove to be just as challenging to hunt as the "wild" birds found through out the state during those days. Pheasant hunting is a great experience for both the experienced and the youth!!!
Hungarian Partridge (Huns) - $14.00 each
These birds are for the more advanced hunter, and can be compared to the grouse our fathers hunted years ago. Even the most experience wing shooter and dog will find these birds challenging to hunt up. It is also said that these are one of the tastiest of upland game birds.
Chukar Partridge - $12.00 each
Chukars or better known red legged partridge are a challenging bird for all hunters, these birds love to roam in the grasses and live in large coveys which when encountered can make for some highly explosive action. These birds will prove a challenge for any hunter and dog as they can be difficult to sneak up on.
Quail - $8.00 each
These fast flying small to hit targets can prove to be one of the most challenging birds encountered in the field. Place anywhere from 5 to 20 in a covey and be prepared for one incredible upland hunting experience as you bust them up and spend the rest of the day finding the ones that got away!! There are many different kinds of quail including the bobwhite and Tennessee Red which seem to be even faster and trickier to shoot. If you are up for the challenge inquire about the reds, and enjoy your day!!!
