Welcome to Unit 12 EMG!

Unit 12 elk management group would like to thank you for your interest in the trophy elk hunting service we provide. We offer fair chase hunts on strictly private land ranches in one of the best "high demand" units in south western New Mexico for trophy elk. We scout all our ranches as early as possible to provide you with the best opportunity to harvest the trophy animal of a lifetime.

South west New Mexico remains one of the leading producers for world class elk. There are only a few areas in south west New Mexico where you can hunt world class elk on un spoiled private ranches and of these ranches there are fewer that can be considered “ ELITE”

I have been combining my efforts with the landowners to make these private land elk leases “hands down” amongst the best in this area for trophy class elk.

We have and will continue to do extensive work on these private land elk leases which includes strategic clearing of areas, planting of rye and wheat fields, repairing of water holes.

We as elk hunters have come to understand; elk must have and are attracted to high protein feed and must have a significant water supply, “BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME”

My private land trophy elk hunts are designed for hunters who are familiar with world class elk and what it takes to harvest a bull of a life time. These private ranches are located in a High demand unit that issues a very few number of tags, this has allowed bulls to achieve superior antler growth and age ratios of 6 ½ years and above and has allowed us to consistently harvest trophy class herd bulls in the 350 class and above.

Combining all these factors with my conservative hunting methods will and have ensured many of quality hunts for trophy caliber bulls.

I look forward to hunting with you and would like to thank you for your consideration.

Kevin Sears has had his guide license suspended by New Mexico. The high shot opportunity he promises were nonexistent. On the 3rd day I had a shot at a small 5x5--this was my only shop opportunity where it was light enough to make sure it was a legal elk and where I could actually see my scope's cross hairs. My other "shot opportunities" did not meet those minimum requirements for a legal shot. The other hunter in camp had no shot opportunity at any legal bull. The guide won't tell you to shoot, but you stay out way passed shooting time and the guide "encourages" you to find the elk through your scope. Then says, how does it look? I did have glimpses of big elk. The guide called one to withing 50 yds, but it stayed behind a juniper and, curiously, the guide was standing in front of me at the time. Kevin Sears met the two hunters in camp and then disappeared for the week. Contact me for additional info.
