Espey Outfitters is a hunting ground in Missouri and Oklahoma that provides deer, turkey, and predator hunts. Both bow and firearm hunters are welcome to the 4,000 acres in central Missouri and 850 acres in southeast Oklahoma. Each of the grounds are managed and maintained year round to ensure the best possible hunting experience.

On the Missouri property we allow only 8 hunters per week, with a 9 day rest for the property every 2 weeks. On our Oklahoma ranch we are going to take 4 archery hunters, and then, 3 weeks later we will take 4 modern gun hunters. With low pressure, a 130" minimum, and guides who have a passion to see you take your biggest deer ever, that all adds up to a hunt of a lifetime. Hope to see you soon.

This was a below average hunt at best. We arrived a day early because the owner Zeke Espey stated we would be able to view the land we hunted and sight in our guns. This ended up being a quick stop at two fields and him showing us a couple stands, however he did have time to show his father and father in law spots on public property while we sat in the truck. Zeke also claims that there is a 9 day rest between hunter groups, this is a completeley false as we looked at his booking ledger and found out he had booked hunts back to back for the last month with over 20 hunters prior to us arrving. Upon arriving they had several rules we were unaware of such as no going to the bathroom in the woods, if you shot an undersized deer they would keep the deer (which is illegal) and several other miniscule rules that all had a $500 fine we were never made aware of this prior to arriving. The food was average, rice and hot dogs cut up, chili and hot dogs for supper were some of the meals. Breakfeast was make cereal or a bagel and lunch was fine with basic bag lunches. Also only 3 out of 7 guys saw 130" shooter bucks with very few deer seen by everyone. Also why there a group from West Virginia came by because they had bad luck with another outfitter and our 2 guides spent time with them showing them land on "our" time. At one point during the hunt Zeke the owner was sleeping and I woke him up to take me hunting and he refused saying it was to "muddy out", so after a locall had called me that we had met and had offered to take me hunting the other guide finally chimed in and took me out. The property is surrounded with other private landowners and they put you on the outer borders so seeing other hunters was a common thing as well as trespassers, this also does not allow the to properly manage the land for the 130" deer the say they want you to shoot. This also caused 3 of the hunters to leave early There is not 400 acres like they say they have it is just a touch over 3000. the only good things I have to say is the ladder stands were comfortable, Zekes wife is super friendly, Zeke is a good hunter but does not have what it takes to be the face3 of the business.
